Your Bolinao Trip wont be complete without visiting the most famous Enchanted cave! The name itself justify why you need to go here. Be amazed of a unique experience of indulging into fresh and natural spring underneath the rocky cave of Enchanted Cave.

this tourist spot is open from 8 AM - 5PM. Safety life vests are available in the sari sari store just before the entrance of this Enchanted cave Arch. The life vest can be rented for P 150.00 each.
Entrance Fee is P 150 for all guest whether you will swim or not.
If you are a kinda nature lover person, you will enjoy this resort like perimeter where you can see mesmerizing and enchanting rock formation, trees and swings "Duyan" hanging between trees for you to relax and enjoy Inang Kalikasan.

Stepping straightway to cement stairs and rocky pathway to the cave's entrance, you will find this staircase down to the cave where you can swim into a called and fresh water of Enchanted cave. The stairs going down is a bit stiff and dangerous. Always take care and watch your steps as well as your head which might bump into rocks above.

As per my best friend, when she went here 4 years ago, there are still no cemented stairs and handle bar going down. I really enjoyed the natural feeling of being inside the cave plus enjoying the cold water. As expected, inside the cave is bit dark. Though there are lights embedded on every corner of the rocks. The middle part of the water is approximately 10 feet deep, while around it, you can step on the rocks. There are restricted area of the cave. Always be careful on stepping on edgy rocks.

What a great experience! us, going out of Enchanted Cave

We actually came here via package tour which is really worth! Check them out including our itinerary and other Must see places we have been in Pangasinan!

Patar beach is said to be the hidden treasure of the north in the western part of Lingayen Gulf in Pangasinan. Pangasinan. Bolinao is known for several untouched beaches. Among all the beaches, one topped them all, Patar Beach!
Patar beach is very budget friendly beach getaway! Actually, for the price of 2,300 we got know immerse in the beauty and coolness of Patar beach but a lot more bonuses such such enchanted Cave, Lighthouse, Hundred Island Tour and many many more! Check this out : Cheapest hundred Island and Bolinao Tour!

Patar beach remains to be naturally untouched and well preserved beach blessed with serenity and tranquility. There are no commercialized structures, hotels and cabana. Even the road to it is still unpaved. There are open nipa hat and cottages for group who want to stay and enjoy the sand an water. We got ours for P 400.

Unlike the overrated beach of Boracay, Patar beach has cream in color sand. The texture is fine as well and water is crystal clear. It seems that the waves here are best for surfing!

I recommend this beach for budget conscious traveler. Money well spent!

Little did I know, Light house also exist in Bolinao, Pangasinan. This light house is called Cape Bolinao Light House. This light house is counted as one of the major lighthouses in the Philippines and second to the highest farolas in the country.

Cape Bolinao Light house is 351 feet tall stands on an octagonal pyramid base. At the top of it is an octagonal illumination room which uppermost area of tower is accessible via 140 steps stairs, however, was closed for visitors.

This lighthouse serves as life saver to seafarers for more than hundred years over the sea of South China Sea. It sends signal to vessel passing the area. Cape Bolinao Lighthouse is built by Americans in 1903. Unfortunately, by 2004, the battery of the light in the tower went out and broke down.

SUNGAYAN FLOATING RESTAURANT GRILL

A good travel won’t be complete without good food to fill your tummy and satisfy your cravings.

Here are the most recommended restaurants in Bolinao Pangasinan, Sungayan floating grill and Giant Taklobo.

A whole day of exploring the beauty of Hundred Island in Alaminos, Pangasinan was so much fun yet really tiring and starving. After we checked in our Accommodation in Bolinao, we then washed up and prepared for dinner. I actually do not have any idea what is the must eat food in Pangasinan specifically in Bolinao. Good thing, Kuya Kiko of MK Compass Travel and Tours brought us to Sungayan Grill. This is a floating restaurant in Balingasay River, one of the cleanest rivers in the country.

Sungayan Grill is in an inner area which is not so easy to find. This is a native floating restaurant which has bamboo and hand crafted interior and exterior. Tables and chairs are bamboos as well. The ambiance is cool as it is open air. The food is good and very affordable. Sulit!

OMG, due to extreme starvation, I forgot to take pictures of the food. We only have groupie and after dinner pictures.

We ordered sinigang, sisig and I love the Sisig so much. Well cooked and very tasty.
How about dinning here with the group? No problem! It will cost you and your friends less with the Fiesta Bilao Set. Seafood feast.

Small Bilao – Good for 2 – 4 pax : P 850.00
Medium Bilao – good for 4 -7 pax : P 1,100.00
Large Bilao – Good for 7 – 10 pax : P1,500

GIANT TAKLOBO RESTAURANT

The next day, we had lunch at Giant Taklobo, one of the most recommended restaurant in Bolinao.
If you would notice the similarity between Sungayan and Giant taklobo like the food set or menu/ the ambiance and service, well don’t be surprise because with our small talk with the owner of Giant taklobo, she have mentioned that the owner of the Sungayan is actually her Niece. Hmm good to know!

GIANT TAKLOBO RESTAURANT
Opening Hours: 10 AM – 10PM
Mondays – Sundays

Another version of Sungayan Floating Grill is Giant Taklobo Restaurant. One of the most recommended restaurant to dine in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
We had lunch here on our last day in Pangasinan, Saving the best for last! Giant Taklobo Restaurant owns a very wide property covering the nipa huts along the fence of the Giant Taklobo property, the ample parking area and Pavilions for huge number of dinners.

Ambiance:
The ambiance is very close to nature which is so relaxing, comfortable and cool. The only thing that bothers me is one fly that keep on targeting our food. They provided us a table candle which kept away the fly.  The Pavilion is open which allows the natural air to come in. You can stay either in any of the Nipa Hut in row or in the open Pavilion with TV.
Service
Good service indeed! They greeted us upon arrival. Staffs are courteous and nice. Offered us complimentary nuts, water and provided us the menu. They also went to our table just to tell us that wifi is available given the password. Serving time is just enough to cook fresh seafood, side veggies and meat.
Food
Freshly cooked food! Specially the seafood.  We ordered Mixed Bilao comprises of combination of meat and seafood with veggies on the side. Perfect for a group! We are four in a group but this seems to be much for us.
1 Platter of Rice, and a FREE Pitcher of Iced Tea Grilled Bangus or Grilled Sungayan, Calamares, Danggit, Grilled Liempo or Pork Barbeque on Stick, Chicken, Steamed Crabs, Steamed Okra, Grilled Eggplant, Green Mango or Pickled Mango, Atchara, Arosep, Tomato, Alamang and Padas, 1 Platter of Rice, and a FREE Pitcher of Iced Tea.

You can choose from Small (3-5pax) 1300php, Medium and Large Bilao (8-10pax) 1800php. The size of our bilao is Medium good for 5-8 pax, price is 1500php.

Price is very reasonable.
MUST TRY! Freshly cooked Sungayan Fish.

MUST EAT DELICACIES OF PANGASINAN!

Tupig! Made of ground glutinous rice and coconut strip wrapped in banana leaves. this is a popular Pangasinan delicacy. It looks like "suman" but the difference is its a rice mixed with coconut and sugar that made it sweet. Crunchy and best eaten when hot. Cooked over charcoal or "ihaw" (grilled).

In a store along the road of Bolinao, this is the traditional mass production of tupig.

Our last stop for today's Hundred Island, Pangasinan Tour brought to us by MK Compass Travel and Tours is Cuenco Cave!

The boat man said that this is the cave is where one of the yamashita treasures said to be found. The water from the opening of the cave is shallow.
From the boat to the cave entrance, we immerse and walk in waist level water to the rocky cave opening. Upon entering an elevated cave, limestone formations are everywhere At the other side of the cave is a small opening going out of the cave.

There is a bridge and nipa hut where some of the people gather and setting to jump on the water. We didn’t stay too much in this area as this was our last stop for the whole tour that day.

Before going back to Alaminos Port, we passed by to Bat Island, You will surely smell them! Not so good smell near the bat island. Thousand of them are hanging or flying within the parameter of the Bat island. It amazed me to think why they choose this island to be their nest among all the islands.
