Sassyzeal

www.sassyzeal.com 88 Spa Resort Laguna

Since 88 Resort is owned by a Korean and most of the guests are Koreans, the Resort's specialty of course is Korean Cuisine. If you will first look at their Menu, you might think that it is a bit pricey. We'll that is true! But when the waiter served us our orders, Wow! we're surprised that one serving is big enough for the two of us. In that case, I can say that the price is reasonable. Aside from the full packed meal, you will have the taste of a REAL, authentic Korean food. (Real and authentic?, not redundancy because some restaurants says, they cook authentic Korean food, even if they are not).

They also serve complimentary appetizer and dessert (fruit).

Just a heads up! Filipino dishes are also available but limited.

For Korean food lovers, SURELY you will enjoy this restaurant. For those who are not, well, I believe you will start craving for it after you tried.

Though this restaurant is inside a resort, you can still drop by and dine.
88 Spa Resort offers not only good food but extreme relaxation and spa experience!

In today’s Korean fever era where boys and girls are fan of kpop fashion, shows and celebrities, here comes a Korean dessert you will surely love. Bingsu – A super fine ice shaved ice cream mixed or topped with different ingredients of your choice.

Mango Cheesecake, Chocolate Brownie, Berry Cheese are the best seller and so we tried the Berry Cheese.

The base of this beautiful yet very delighting desert is a light snow flake ice dessert made of milk. Then, topped with berry whipped cream, fresh strawberries and blueberry, cheese and dry cranberry. This size is a single serving yet it is still much for me alone. Yum!

Here are the other flavors they serve:
PAT BING SU – Milk Snow + Sweet Red Bean Grain Powder + rice Cake jujube chips
INJEOLMI BING SU – Milk Snow Grain Powder + Rice Cake +nuts and dried fruits
MANGO BING SU – Milk Snow Mango
STRAWBERRY BING SU – Milk Snow + Fresh Strawberry
CHOCO BING SU – Choco Milk Snow + Chocolate + Various Chocolate Cookies + Chocolate Ice Cream
REEN TEA BING SU – Green tea Milk Snow  + Sweet Red Bean + Grain Powder + Rice cake +jujube Chips
MANGO CHEESE BING SU – Milk Snow + Fresh Mango + Cheese Cake + Dried Nuts and Berries + Vanilla Ice Cream
BROWNIE BING SU – Choco Milk Snow + Brownie Choco + Chocolate Ice Cream + Choco Crunch + Nuts and Dried Fruits
CARAMEL COFFEE BINGSU – Coffee Crunch + caramel Nut + Coffee jelly

All Bing su can be served in Single or sharing servings
Price ranges from 170 – 250 per single serving and 240 – 360 for sharing.

For hungry tummy, don’t worry, they do have other food perfectly matched with Bing su that will fill your crying tummy.

DDUK BOK GI – Rice cake , sausage squid slices in Korean spicy base.
Combo is Bingsu + toast or Cake or Spicy Soup or Ramen.

They also serve Fusion Toast combining Toast with crunch outside and soft inside and chewy glutinous rice cake.

                                                             (Bone marrow soup)

Mahogany Market is known when it comes to “Bulalo Experience” because this market is a best source of fresh beef from batangas.

So we did not hesitate to search for this place when we went to Tagaytay.
Mahogany Market looks as any typical wet market. There are vegetables and fruit section, fish section, dried food section, condiments section and wider area for meat section.

Outside it has plant section where varieties of plants either flowering or herbal are for sale. There is a row of food eatery where their main course is bulalo and also serves different Filipino viands.  Each stall has different way to attract costumers. Some offers free dessert or fruit, some showcases the comfort of their area and some have their promoters (their waitress/waiters) who persuades people walking around to eat on their eatery. Nevertheless, we would like to taste the best Bulalo in town!

After choosing where we would eat, we finally picked one without any basis. The Bulalo cost P 300.00. This is good for 3-4 persons. We ordered one and three rice just to fulfill our curiosity why Mahogany Markets bulalo is famous. We waited for the Bulalo to be served for 10 –15 min.

The bulalo was served with steamer to keep it hot.

In all fairness, the bulalo taste good as the beef was fresh for the price of P 300.00.
However, Leslie’s Bulalo stays on top still for me.

How to get to Mahogany Market Tagaytay

Ride bus going to Nasugbu, Alfonso, Balayan, Mendez, Cavite Ask the driver to drop you off at Mahogany Market. The market is along the road going to batangas.

There is a signboard at the corner of the Mahogany Market.
